At EVA IVF & Women’s Centre, we understand the importance of knowing your chances of success before starting treatment.
• IVF as an advanced solution: One of the most effective fertility treatments involving medications, procedures, and monitoring to achieve pregnancy.

• Beyond numbers: Quality care, transparency, and advanced medical support matter as much as statistics.
• Our approach at EVA: Personalised treatment plans, advanced technology, and compassionate care to support couples emotionally and medically.
Our commitment: At EVA, we focus on improving success rates while providing trusted care to help you build your family with confidence.

What IVF Success Rate Really Means
When comparing IVF success rates, it’s important to understand what the figures actually mean. Clinics may report success in different ways, usually as pregnancy rate or live birth rate.
• Pregnancy Rate: The number of confirmed pregnancies (through ultrasound or HCG test) out of 100 treatment cycles, egg retrievals, or embryo transfers.
• Live Birth Rate: The number of deliveries resulting in at least one healthy baby out of 100 cycles or procedures.
While pregnancy rates give an initial indication of success, not all pregnancies progress as expected. That’s why the live birth rate is considered a more reliable measure of IVF success.
At EVA IVF & Women Centre, we emphasize transparency and clarity, helping couples understand these terms so they can make informed decisions about their treatment journey.
Different Ways to Measure IVF Success
Live Births per Treatment Cycle
This refers to the percentage of live births from a single IVF treatment cycle. It gives an overall idea of success but does not include results from frozen embryo transfers.
Pregnancy Rate per Embryo Transfer
This shows the percentage of confirmed pregnancies after a single embryo transfer. While helpful, it does not reflect the full outcome, as some pregnancies may not continue to live birth.
Live Births per Embryo Transfer
This represents the percentage of women who deliver one or more healthy babies following an embryo transfer. Even if twins or triplets are born, it is counted as one successful birth event.
IVF Success Factors
IVF is a complex treatment, and its success depends on several factors unique to each couple. While clinic success rates provide an overview, your individual chances are best understood by consulting a fertility specialist. Here are the key factors that influence IVF outcomes:
Age of the Woman
IVF success is highest between 24–34; age affects egg quality, but overall health matters too.
Previous Pregnancy
A history of successful pregnancies can increase the chances of IVF success, while past miscarriages or fertility issues with a new partner may lower the likelihood.
Cause of Infertility
Fibroids, uterine or ovarian issues, and male infertility can affect IVF, but advanced treatments help.
Egg, Sperm, and Embryo Quality
Healthy eggs, good sperm, and strong embryos greatly boost IVF success, with ovarian reserve and sperm health playing key roles.
Embryo Transfer
A smooth and timely embryo transfer is critical. Both biological factors and precise medical procedures impact implantation success.
Uterine Receptivity
A healthy uterine lining and supportive environment are vital for successful implantation and embryo development.
Lifestyle Choices
Avoiding smoking, alcohol, and maintaining a healthy body weight can improve IVF outcomes. Positive lifestyle changes support fertility and pregnancy.
Donor Eggs or Sperm
In cases of poor egg or sperm quality, using donor eggs or sperm can improve treatment outcomes.
