Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a medical procedure that treats infertility by placing   specially prepared sperm directly in the uterus. The procedure is performed around the time an ovary releases one or more eggs. IUI is used to increase the chances of pregnancy and    can be used in conjunction with induction. The success rate of IUI varies between 20 to 30% per attempt, making it slightly more effective than regular intercourse.
